I am an Assistant Professor of Economics at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, specializing in environmental, energy, and natural resource economics.
I currently study emissions regulation in the oil and gas industry. I am also interested in (1) institutional and historical drivers of inequalities in pollution exposure, and (2) the intersection of political economy and the environment.
I received my Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Arizona in 2024, and a B.A. from Sewanee: University of the South in 2019. I was born and raised in Myanmar.
